Background
Over the past few years, Karen with her husband Ian, has remodeled and built homes designed and built landscapes and beautiful gardens. They have returned to the Monterey Peninsula to rejoin family and friends to pursue a career in real estate.
Karen spent 30 years in International High Technology in the US and in Europe. In 1995, she was a Cofounder, President and CEO of Stardust Technologies, Inc. and Stardust.com. She was Cofounder and COO of Aventail Corporation in 1996 and cofounder and Executive Vice President of cPower Inc, in 2000. Stardust Technologies was sold to Penton Media in 1999 where Karen continued on as President of Stardust through February 2002.

Personal Interests
In addition to being a self-described compulsive gardener, Karen is a textile artist who has won many awards at the MPQG Guild and Monterey County Fair. She also dabbles in gemology and makes jewelry; enjoys decorating, walking the dog, hiking, sailing, snorkeling/diving, and cooking for friends and family.
