Carla Belgrano Ramsey was born in San Francisco and is a third-generation Californian. After graduation from Vassar College, Carla worked as an architectural assistant and a stringer for Time magazine. In 1964 she moved to Pebble Beach with her daughter, son and husband, who assumed the presidency of Del Monte Properties, now the Pebble Beach Company.
Carla has been an active, full-time top-producing realtor here for the past 28 years and has extensive knowledge and expertise in her profession and all areas of the Monterey Peninsula.
She was appointed to the Planning Commission of Carmel-by-the-Sea by then mayor Clint Eastwood and was re-appointed twice again, serving a total of six years, the last three as Chairperson.
Carla resides in Carmel and continues her interest in politics and professional auto-racing along with her real estate career. She serves as a member of the local Government Relations Committee and is a Trustee of the Political Action Committee of the Monterey Association of Realtors. She was elected Chair of both for two years, receiving Special Recognition Awards for Outstanding Leadership and Service.
She was elected by her fellow realtors to the Board of Directors of Monterey County Association of Realtors for two years, receiving the Distinguished Service Award in 2001 and 2002, and she is a past recipient of the John Leo Achievement Award.
The California Association of Realtors recently congratulated Carla on her selection as an Honorary member-for-Life of the Association.
